# Voidger Fusion > Distribute a file across clouds with Voidger Fusion. Secure Shard encrypts on the computer with AGE hybrid post-quantum mode, ML-KEM-768 and X25519, before the split. Not every file needs to sit in full with one company. Fusion distributes a local file across two or more compatible clouds. With Secure Shard, Voidger encrypts on the computer with AGE hybrid post-quantum mode, ML-KEM-768 and X25519, then splits the ciphertext. ## What you can do. 1. **One file, several providers**: Distribute a project file across eligible clouds. Each provider receives a part instead of holding the complete file on its own. 2. **Sensitive documents with two layers**: Enable AGE in Secure Shard. Voidger encrypts the file on the computer with ML-KEM-768 and X25519, then splits the ciphertext. One part alone cannot open the file. 3. **Digital assets and seed phrases**: A file containing a seed phrase can be encrypted and split. You can save a passphrase-protected identity backup and import it later. Without the key or that backup, the file will not open. Do not use an encrypted, split secret as the only recovery copy. ## From the first step to the result. 1. **Choose the file and clouds**: Select a local file and at least two eligible connections. 2. **Choose your protection**: Enable AGE to encrypt on the computer with hybrid post-quantum mode, ML-KEM-768 and X25519, before splitting and uploading. Without AGE, splitting alone is not encryption. 3. **Restore with the parts and key**: Voidger gathers all the parts and, when protected, decrypts with the private key. Without the key or a passphrase-protected backup, the file will not open. ## Protection needs a way back, too Keep access to your accounts, parts, and metadata. You can save a passphrase-protected identity backup and import it later. Without the key or that backup, the file will not open. Test restoration before you depend on a distributed file. ## Your questions, answered. ### Does every cloud receive a complete copy? No. Each cloud receives one part of the distributed file. In Secure Shard with AGE, those parts are pieces of ciphertext, and one part alone cannot open the file. ### Does splitting a file create redundancy? No. Fusion is not a scheme where any subset of parts is enough. Recovery depends on all required parts and the recovery metadata. ### Is Fusion a recommended backup for a seed phrase? Do not use an encrypted, split secret as the only recovery copy. You can save a passphrase-protected identity backup and import it later. Without the key or that backup, the file will not open. ### Can I encrypt without using several clouds? Yes. AGE is also available in Transfer for a single eligible local file. Voidger encrypts it on the computer with hybrid post-quantum mode and sends the complete .age file to one destination, without Fusion. ### How does Secure Shard protect the file? With AGE, Voidger encrypts the file on the computer with ML-KEM-768 and X25519, then splits the ciphertext. One part alone cannot open the file. ## Download Voidger - [Download Voidger](https://voidger.com/en#download) - [Learn more about](https://voidger.com/en/features/fusion)
